Friday Fire: Stu’s Story – Stronger, Lighter, and Loving It at 50

Starting Small and Steady


Stu joined GB1fitness in Milton Keynes, June 2023, beginning with just two circuit classes per week while also signing up for one2one personal training. Like many of our members, he started with a bit of hesitation—but he quickly found a rhythm and a routine that worked for him.

Fast forward to today, and he’s now training four times a week, lifting heavier, feeling stronger, and doing things he hadn’t done in years.

Fitness Without Pressure – But Full of Progress


One thing Stu highlights again and again is the supportive environment.


“Nothing is pressurised, you’re not forced to complete certain targets. You control your own efforts and get out what you put in.”

Hitting Milestones – and Dropping Kilos


Through regular circuit classes and one2one PT sessions with Graeme at the GB1 gym in Milton Keynes, Stu has seen some serious progress. He’s stronger, leaner, and feeling better than he has in years.


💥 This year, Stu dipped under 80kg for the first time in nearly a decade.


Not only that—he’s turned 50 feeling more body confident, more in control, and wishing he’d found this years ago.
