Friday Fire: Annette’s Strength in Community

When Annette first joined GB1fitness in early 2023, she had already completed a course of personal training sessions with Graeme and was keen to keep her progress going.
Her doctor had advised her to increase her strength training, and she knew that staying consistent on her own would be a challenge.
Joining the GB1 group classes was the perfect next step — a way to stay strong, stay social, and stay accountable.
“I know I struggle to get out of the door on my own, but GB1 has made that easier. There’s always someone to chat to while we’re working through the circuits, and the variety keeps it interesting!”

Finding Motivation Through Others
Annette quickly discovered that the community at GB1fitness was just as powerful as the workouts themselves.
“I’ve made so many friends, and there’s always laughter — it never feels like a chore. The people are what keep me coming back.”

Annette loves that no two weeks at GB1fitness are the same.
“I love the variety of the classes and exercises — especially TABATA sessions! They’re tough, fast, and fun. Every class challenges you in a different way.”
Graeme’s constantly changing formats and exercise combinations mean there’s never time to get bored.
Each week feels fresh, and Annette says the focus on strength, flexibility, and endurance has made a real difference to her fitness.

The Real Reward
While Annette originally joined to maintain her strength and stay active, she now sees the physical results as just one part of what she’s gained.
“I keep attending classes for the people that are there — the camaraderie and the fun. The fitness and improvements I’ve made in my strength are just a lucky by-product!”
