Andy’s GB1 journey started with his love for running. A familiar face at run club, he’s clocked up countless miles with the group, often encouraging others along the way. But running wasn’t his only fitness outlet. Very quickly, GB1’s circuit sessions became a fixture in his week.
Now, you’ll often find Andy training three times a week with us, rain or shine, and still keeping up his running. Whether it’s dark winter evenings or blazing summer mornings, his attendance is rock solid. This level of consistency hasn’t happened by accident — it’s a conscious decision to keep his health and fitness a priority.

Leveling Up with Personal Training
Recently, Andy decided to take his training up another notch with one-to-one PT sessions. These give him space to work on targeted goals — refining technique, building strength, and addressing areas that will make him a better all-round athlete.
It’s not about replacing his group classes, but enhancing them. His PT work dovetails perfectly with his circuits and running, ensuring he trains smarter, not harder.
The results are already showing:
Improved form
Stronger lifts
Greater confidence in new exercises.
Cooking Up Results in More Ways Than One
When Andy isn’t training, he’s in the kitchen — because he’s a chef. His food is as full of character as he is, and he’s well known for his signature saying:
💬 “Never trust a skinny chef.”
It’s a motto that gets a laugh every time, but behind the humour is a man who understands balance. He knows that enjoying good food and keeping fit aren’t opposites — they work together when you’ve got the right mindset and consistency.

Making GB1 a Permanent Part of Life… Literally
This month, Andy made GB1fitness history by becoming the first member ever to get a GB1 tattoo. Yes, you read that right — the logo is now inked permanently, a bold statement of how much this community means to him.
When asked why, Andy’s answer was simple:
GB1 has been a consistent, positive force in his life, not just in fitness but socially and mentally.
The people, the atmosphere, the laughs, and the shared challenges have become part of who he is — and now, part of his skin too.

The Power of Consistency
Andy’s story ties directly into a key GB1 principle: lasting results come from steady, repeatable effort.
It’s easy to get caught up in short bursts of enthusiasm, but Andy shows what happens when you commit for the long haul.
He’s proof that turning up — even on the days when you’re tired, busy, or the weather’s against you — is where the real transformation happens.
His fitness is up, his mindset is stronger, and he’s become a role model for new members looking to make training part of their lifestyle.
💬 Andy says: "It’s the people, the support, and the variety that keeps me coming back. GB1’s not just a workout, it’s part of my week, part of my life — and now, it’s part of my skin too!"
