After a mini stroke in March last year, Tara had a realisation that stopped her in her tracks.

“I’d let myself go since Covid. Life got in the way. But after the stroke, I knew I had to do something — I needed to lose weight and get fitter.”

She had done circuit classes before, so when she joined GB1fitness in Milton Keynes last May, she had a rough idea of what she was signing up for. What she didn’t expect was how much she’d come to enjoy it.

“I go to class every week — I wish I could do more! Each session is different, always fun, and even though it’s outdoors, you warm up quickly. The hour goes by in a flash.”
